The Dolomites – Mighty Mountains of Limestone

Gently Rolling Alpine Meadows and Majestic Mountain Peaks in Wonderful Harmony
The Rose Garden and Latemar – our two giants of the Dolomites – are among the most-renowned and most-popular attractions in the Dolomites, which extend over much of South Tyrol. Lake Karer / Lago di Carezza is likewise nearby, and is generally regarded as one of the most-beautiful Alpine lakes. If you want, you can even jog, stroll, or Nordic Walk to it via a recently-established path.

The Marmolada
The harmonious contrast of gently rolling Alpine meadows and, nearby, rugged limestone pinnacles (some towering more than 3,000 meters above sea-level) jutting into the heavens is characteristic for the Dolomites. The highest of all Dolomite summits is the Marmolada (3,342 m), which is also known as the "Queen of the Dolomites." The Marmolada and its world of glaciers is a rewarding goal in the context of an expedition to the Dolomites from Obereggen / San Floriano.

Dwarf King Laurin
